Raymond Terrace JSC Awarded Newcastle Permanent Club of the Month Award

April 9th, 2018

Northern NSW Football is pleased to announce Raymond Terrace Junior Soccer Club (JSC), from Newcastle Football as Newcastle Permanent Club of the Month Winner for March 2018.

Raymond Terrace JSC was awarded as the winner of the Newcastle Permanent Club of the Month Award due to its significant contribution to the local community through working collaboratively with nearby school St. Brigid’s Primary School.

“Raymond Terrace has made a significant and valuable contribution to the local community through giving students the opportunity to play football via regional gala days hosted at their ground,” NNSWF Community Football Manager Peter Haynes commented.

“Not only does the club provide the school with their facility, they also make sure that the canteen is open, fields are set up and ready, referees are available and lending their invaluable experience as selectors for the school’s regional sporting teams.”

“The club goes above and beyond to ensure school students from our region receive footballing opportunities and exposure in a warm, welcoming and nurturing an environment that they provide.”

“We applaud the efforts of Raymond Terrace JSC Committee, coaches and players which demonstrate that community is integral to the club’s ethos,” Haynes concluded.

Newcastle Permanent Branch Manager, Julie Harris, echoed Haynes’ sentiments and is pleased a local Newcastle Football club has been rewarded for its efforts.

“It is great to see clubs going the extra mile to give back to their local community and we are delighted we are able to provide those opportunities through our support of Community Football across Northern NSW,” Harris said.

Raymond Terrace JSC will receive a $250 First Touch Football Supplies gift voucher thanks to Newcastle Permanent that will allow the club to purchase new equipment to continue its efforts in growing the game in the Region.

The Newcastle Permanent Club of the Month Award recognises clubs for contribution to football on and off the playing field across areas including football experience, club activities, coach, volunteer management and special projects.
