FFA Workshop 1 – ‘Tactical training

Who’s it for?

Coaches within the Game Training Phase (14-17 yrs) who have a good understanding of planning and conducting a session (minimum Game Training Certificate). Advanced Licence Coaches (C Licence Youth or Senior) wishing to gain points towards licence re validation.

What’s involved?

This workshop will help the coach further develop the ability to ANALYSE football and define a ‘FOOTBALL PROBLEM’ allowing the coach to be able to design sessions that will help players develop their TACTICAL understanding.


FFA Workshop 2 – ‘Define & Design Skill Training’

Who’s it for?

Coaches with a current Skill Training Certificate, or C Youth Licence, or who otherwise have a good understanding of the Skill Acquisition Phase and want to further develop players aged 9-13 years.validation.

What’s involved?

This workshop will help the coach further develop the ability to analyse football and identify a ‘specific aspect’ of a core skill allowing the youth specialist to be able to design sessions that will help players perceive, decide and execute a football action in a totally game-specific situation.

FFA Workshop 3 – ‘The problem solving approach to tactical training’

Who’s it for?

Coaches within the Game Training Phase (14-17 yrs) who have a good understanding of planning and conducting a session (minimum Game Training Certificate). Advanced Licence Coaches (C Licence Youth or Senior) wishing to gain points towards licence re validation.

What’s involved?

This workshop focuses on ‘The Teaching Process’, a key part of the ‘CONDUCT’ stage of a training session. All coaches aspire to improve performance. This workshop will further develop and hone the ability of the coach to create a problem-solving environment in which to teach their players TACTICAL concepts.


FFA Workshop 4 – ‘The problem solving approach to skill training’

Who’s it for?

Coaches with a current Skill Training Certificate, or C Youth Licence, or who otherwise have a good understanding of the Skill Acquisition Phase and want to further develop players aged 9-13 years.validation.

What’s involved?

All coaches aspire to improve performance. This workshop will further develop and hone the ability of the coach to create a problem-solving environment in which to teach their players towards better use of skill in a game situation.
