Kahibah FC ran their annual gala day to raise money for local charity ‘Charlies Run 4 Kids‘ on Sunday July 9.
The day saw 320 children participate from 20 clubs across Newcastle, Macquarie and Hunter Valley Football.
Northern NSW Football’s ALDI MiniRoos Development Officer Tom Oldaker was on hand to show his support for the day with the ALDI inflatable shooting target adding to the day’s festivities.
“The day was great success as it gave children the opportunity to play lots of football and have loads of fun, whilst contributing to a local charity,” Oldaker said.
The ALDI inflatable shooting target was put to good use, challenging players and spectators alike, with the opportunity to win prizes courtesy of NNSWF’s Major Partner in Community Football, Newcastle Permanent.
Kahibah FC also supplied a jumping castle and other activities for the children.
“Kahibah have been working hard as a club to create a great environment for their players which has seen an 8.5% increase in ALDI MiniRoos player registrations from 2016 and that was reflected with the club hosting yet another successful gala day,’ Oldaker said.
On the day Kahibah managed to raise $2000 for Charlies Run 4 Kids which was a great effort from all involved.
From everyone at NNSWF we would like to say well done to Kahibah and all its volunteers and supporters on such a successful gala day.
