REVISED – 2018 Telstra SAP Country Gala Day Fixture Draws – February

For the first time this year, over 280 players will take part in the Telstra Skill Acquisition Program (SAP) Country Gala Day at York Street Oval, Coffs Harbour this weekend.

Kicking off on Saturday 24th through to Sunday 25th February, 28 teams across Northern NSW will take part in the annual event.

Teams will be divided into three age groups from Mid North Coast, North Coast & Northern Inland regionally & Macquarie Football plus NNSWF Newcastle SAP from the metro areas where they will take part in development based games against each other.

Northern NSW Football Technical Director, Michael Browne, said these Gala Days are a vital element within the SAP.

“The SAP Gala Day’s provide the participating teams with the opportunity to play games against opponents they would not normally play,” Browne said.

“It gives country zones the chance to see how their players compare in relation to the players from the metro zones.”
