14s TSP Japan Tour Camp

January 25th, 2018

Today saw the end of the Talent Support Program (TSP) Japan Tour Camp for 14 Years Boys at the Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility.

Technical Directors from each of Northern NSW Football’s Member Zones along with Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) Technical Director, Michael Browne and Technical Advisor, Leo Bertos, selected players to participate and train at the camp.

Over 25 players were selected and recommended within the 14 Years Talent Support Program and Country sides.

The camp was put together to select players to attend the annual Tokyo U14 International Youth Football Tournament held in the first week of May 2018.

NNSWF Technical Advisor, Leo Bertos, was pleased with the talent that was displayed at the camp and is looking forward to the opportunities ahead of these players.

“It was great to have some of the region’s best football talent in the 14s age group (outside of the Jets) for the short camp here at LMRFF over the last two days,” Bertos said.

“We are looking forward to seeing how all of these players perform with their clubs this coming season and we are also looking forward to seeing how they will match up against quality players from all over the world when we participate in an international tournament in Japan in May.”

“It will be a great experience for all involved both on and off the field.”

“We are excited to be able to provide players with opportunities to travel and to test themselves against players of the same age from many other countries and cultures,” Bertos concluded.

The same age group will be selected to attend the National Youth Championships along with additional players who may have been unavailable for the Japan tour.
