2018 FFA Cup Kicks Off This Weekend in Port Macquarie

The 2018 FFA Cup launches across Football Mid North Coast on Sunday, with several teams around the region competing in the Preliminary Rounds 1 and 2 – Northern Conference qualifiers over the coming weeks.

The FFA Cup provides football teams across the country the chance to face-off against elite Hyundai A-League clubs in the National Knockout Tournament. The culmination of NNSWF’s Preliminary Rounds will see the best teams from around the region compete at Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility for two spots in the FFA Cup Round of 32.

In Football Mid North Coast, Port United start their FFA Cup campaign against Wallamba FC on Sunday 4th March at Wayne Richards Park.

Round One sees Wallis Lake FC up against Tuncurry Foster FC, with the winner of this fixture taking on the formidable Macleay Valley Rangers in Round 2.

Other Round 2 fixtures include Kempsey Saints v Wauchope SC on Thursday 22nd March, whilst Taree Wildcats play Port Saints FC on Wednesday 21st March at Taree Zone Field.

All nominated teams have been drawn to participate in the preliminary Rounds, with multiple byes included in Round 1 fixtures to eliminate further byes throughout the course of the competition.
