QUENTIN CONNERS
Zone League One side Raymond Terrace SC, will host National Premier League (NPL) heavyweights Adamstown Rosebud at Kings Park, with the hope of progressing into the Quarter Finals of the competition.
The match marks the furthest a Zone League One side has ever progressed and having scored at least four goals in each of their FFA Cup matches, the Sharks will be inspired that they can cause a historic ‘cupset’.
Both Nathan Hanley and Morgan Reynolds will be players to watch, having scored three goals each in just two of the qualifying matches.
However, their opponents are a club that possess major history and as the Rosebuds still haven’t advanced past Round 5 since 2015, leaving with the win will be crucial.
Adamstown are coming into this match on the back of three consecutive victories in the NPL competition, including defeating top sides Charlestown and Edgeworth, and will be highly confident in moving one step closer to that illustrious Round of 32.
NEWFM Northern League One side Cessnock City Hornets will host NPL’s Lambton Jaffas at Turner Park, who will be eager to return to the FFA Cup Round of 32 after missing out in 2017, while Broadmeadow Magic visit Thornton Park to take on the Redbacks who are performing well in the NEWFM Northern League One.
Weston Workers will host Hamilton Olympic at Rockwell Automation Park in an all-NPL battle, as is the match between Edgeworth Eagles and Valentine Phoenix at Jack McLaughlan Oval and Charlestown City Blues and Lake Macquarie City at Lisle Carr Oval.
All matches are scheduled to kick off at 7:00pm.
