On Thursday 23rd January at a steaming-hot McDonald Jones Stadium, 22 keen MiniRoos representing Kotara South FC got behind the Newcastle Jets as they took on Perth Glory in Round 11 of the Westfield W-League.
It all started with Mascot Duty, as the MiniRoos got the chance to walk out with both teams at Kick-Off in front of some very proud family members.
Coming off the park with grins spanning from ear-to-ear, the young Tigers then raced off with their families to watch the first half action. After a competitive first half which saw Perth leading 2-0, the Tigers would once again be called into action for their halftime mini games.
With the Fox Sports cameras rolling in the background, the Kotara South MiniRoos crew put on a show for everyone, with some fantastic goals and teamwork on display.
Perth would end up running out 4-2 winners in an entertaining second half, but it certainly was a memorable evening at the football for our young Tigers.
I would like to say a big thank you to Kotara South FC Women’s Football Coordinator Cath Burman for making it all happen and well done to all of those MiniRoos who braved the conditions to come along to the game! It was a pleasure to have you all there!
