Keeping up with the MiniRoos

#4: Football by the Beach – Dudley Redhead Matchday

July 23rd, 2019

On Saturday 21st of July, I visited Dudley Redhead FC for their match day, taking with me the ALDI MiniRoos Inflatable target, some fruit and prizes for the kids. Dudley had a busy morning at Liles Oval with Under 6s, Under 7s, Under 8s, Under 9s and Under 10s all taking the field. The sidelines were abuzz with activity and cheers from the parents and many of Dudley’s (and visiting) MiniRoos had plenty of attempts at the ALDI MiniRoos inflatable and several went home with some prizes thanks to Newcastle Permanent!

Dudley was also visited on Saturday by Phillip Andrews, the NNSWF Club Development Officer, to present Under 6 Snappers coach Dave Stevenson (pictured above) with the Community Coach of the Month Award for July. Dave was nominated for his incredible nature and attitude towards the team and all its members. His nominee described that Dave celebrates goals with his team by “high fiving each player that scores, a little “rough” on the head and a group hug are just a few of the ways U/6 Snappers celebrate a goal”. Well done Dave, and congratulations to all of our Newcastle Permanent Award Winners for July.

Big thank you to Bruce, Troy and the team at Dudley Redhead for their help organising this visit!
