Better Coaches, Better Football

January 10th, 2018

2018 is shaping up to be one of the biggest years for Coach Education in Northern NSW Football (NNSWF).

The 2018 Coach Education calendar of courses will see a massive 137 coaching courses and workshops delivered throughout Northern NSW in 2018 compared to the 92 courses and workshops held in 2017.

NNSWF Coach Education Coordinator, Tom Oldaker said with a large number of courses and workshops available now throughout Northern NSW, it ‘will provide more opportunities for coaches to learn and develop their skills’.

“A coach education survey in 2017 identified accessing courses was a challenge our coaches face. By providing a clear calendar identifying all courses and workshops available for the whole year will give coaches the chance to plan in advance for the courses that they are able to attend.

“It’s important that we provide plenty of educational opportunities and support to our community coaches.

“By developing better coaches means we can produce better players, which results in better football,” Oldaker concluded.
