Northern NSW Football is pleased to acknowledge the achievements of three North Coast Football clubs in completing the National Club Development Program (NCDP) and receiving their initial Star Rating.
NNSWF Club Development Officer Phillip Andrews met with Stacey from Coffs United FC to present her with a certificate acknowledging the clubs’ achievement in gaining a 4 star rating within the NCDP and to plan a pathway to earn their fifth star.
Stacey and the committee at Coffs City have worked tremendously hard to improve their governance, knowing that strong leadership will secure the future of the football club and contribute towards enhancing the experience of all members and visitors to the club. Coffs City has developed a strong relationship with NNSWF over the past few seasons supporting initiatives like Female Football Week and the Kick-On for Women program.
Fiona and the committee at Boambee FC have been busy working through the NCDP framework and developing aspects of their governance. The club has been issued with a Star Rating and Action Plan targeting identified areas of club development achievable in the near future. “Boambee FC have taken a giant step forward by adopting policies and posting them on their website with a view to instigating positive change that will ultimately enhance the experience of their members and visitors to their club. I look forward to continuing supporting Boambee FC as they strive to further develop all aspects of their football club.” Andrews commented.
Nambucca Strikers FC have also completed the NCDP and under the guidance of a new president, Cressida Usher, will be using the questions within the NCDP to shape the future development of the club. NNSWF Club Development Officer Phillip Andrews attended the November monthly meeting with Nambucca Strikers FC and is looking forward to contributing to the future success of the club.
The National Club Development Program (NCDP) is available to all clubs. The program is evidence based and has been trialed extensively in other areas of Australia over the past two years. The NCDP involves approximately 100 questions that require a YES or NO response. Every question has a help button that links to a resource library providing the resources required for improvement. Every question has a role in developing a successful football club considering the strategic objectives of FFA and NNSWF.
NNSWF administers the NCDP on behalf of FFA and Club Development Officer Phillip Andrews is available to guide clubs through the program.
