Coffs Harbour to host SAP Country Gala Day

April 26th, 2019

Over 230 players will be travelling to C.ex International Stadium, Coffs Harbour this weekend for the Skill Acquisition Program (SAP) Country Gala Day.

Running on Sunday 28th April, regional teams from Football Mid North Coast, North Coast Football and Northern Inland Football will be divided into three age groups, 10 Years, 11 Years and 12 Years.

Draws have been formulated to provide teams with a variety of opposition from participating Zones over the course of the Gala Day.

Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) Technical Advisor, Leo Bertos, said the Country Gala Day is a fantastic event that is extremely beneficial to not only the players, but coaches and parents as well.

“This time of year member zones are looking at selecting their squads to attend the upcoming boys state championships in June,” Bertos said.

“This Gala day will provide an opportunity for these players to be identified for these squads while also providing coaches with the opportunity to prepare their teams and to also see how their players are performing against identified players from other regions.”

The SAP Country Gala Days are held each month this year from February to August. The next and Gala Day of the year will be held on 26th May in Coffs Harbour.
