After progressing through the FFA Cup Round of 32 with a 3-0 victory over Darwin Olympic, the last remaining Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) representative Edgeworth Eagles have been drawn to face fellow local club Newcastle Jets in the Round of 16 on Wednesday 21 August, at Jack McLaughlan Oval, kicking-off 7:30pm (AEST).

The upcoming game will be the first time a NNSWF club will take on the Jets in the FFA Cup and now guarantees that one local team from the region will move onto the Quarter Finals for the first time in the competition’s history.

The two faced-off in a Hyundai A-League pre-season trial at the same venue two weekends ago which resulted in a tight affair with Newcastle Jets pipping the defending NPL Northern NSW premiers by one a lone Dimi Petratos goal.

Tickets for the clash will be on sale soon, however for those wanting to watch from home, the game will be broadcast on Fox Sports as the ‘feature match’ of the night.
