Emerging Jets Head To Tasmania for the National SAP Festival

March 3rd, 2016

Northern NSW Football’s Emerging Jets 12 and 13 boys are flying down to Tasmania today for the National Skill Acquisition Program (SAP) Festival in Devonport. The boys will be playing against teams from Tasmania, South Australia, Victoria and the ACT.

The event is held at Valley Road, home of Tasmanian National Premier League Club Devonport City Strikers. The Festival will be running from Friday 4th March through to Sunday 6th March 2016.

“It is important for the Emerging Jets Program, as a whole, that we continue to benchmark ourselves against players of a similar age group from around the country. The SAP Festival in Tasmania is a great opportunity for us to do this in a development based environment,” said Ryan Campbell, Emerging Jets Head Coach of Skill Acquisition.

“There are no scores recorded as well as there being no overall winner of the festival. Which is great as the players are able to express themselves and show their abilities as individuals to the National Technical Staff, while the coaching staff are able to assess the progress of their sides against high quality oppositions.”

“I am very much looking forward to seeing our players on the National stage and being able to gain valuable feedback on the players as they continue their development,” Campbell concluded.
