Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) is accepting Expressions of Interest from Member Clubs seeking to conduct Off-Season activities to be conducted in 2015/16.
The continued surge in demand for more opportunities to play football along with the success of the off-season activities from their inception in 2012, has prompted NNSWF to encourage more clubs to conduct off-season activities once again in 2015.
A record number of 8,591 players participated in off-season activities during 2014/15, up 26% from 2013/14.
NNSWF Chief Executive Officer David Eland is pleased to invite Member Clubs to express interest in conducting off-season activities.
“Following the recent success of the Socceroos at the AFC Asian Cup on home soil, and the Matildas’ current participation in the FIFA Women’s World Cup, football is enjoying heightened interest,” said Mr. Eland.
“As society is constantly changing and participants are increasingly time poor, we continue to strive to meet the needs of an ever increasing number of potential players who are unable to commit to traditional winter competitions.
“Northern NSW Football is committed to enabling more people to play more football more often.
“In addition to welcoming new participants to the football community, off season activities provide motivated clubs that have access to facilities during the off season with the chance to raise valuable funds and the means to provide their local communities with additional participation opportunities.
“NNSWF is confident that the structure of registration fees, which make it cheaper for players who are already registered in winter competitions, will encourage more players to participate year round,” Mr. Eland concluded.
Clubs have until 10th July to express their interest in conducting an off season activity and NNSWF will commence promotion of activities from 1st August.
