Periodisation is often misunderstood in football.  However, effective planning is vital if a team, player and coach is going to have success.

There are numerous models of periodization but often coaches become more confused by implementing someone else’s model rather than having a sound personal understanding.

This seminar is an introduction to periodisation to help the coach understand how to effectively plan.

  • The history of periodization
  • The problems of periodization
  • Getting back to basics
  • Implementing sound planning at any level you coach
  • Putting it all together (Developing your philosophy of player preparation)
