Football gala day for students with a disability

October 16th, 2015

Students from Shortland, Fennell Bay, Rathmines, Toronto and Eleebana public schools attended a football gala day that provided an opportunity for students with a disability to experience the fun of football.

They played on the new synthetic Football FIVE5 pitches at the Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility at a Speers Point. The day consisted of round robin 6-a-side matches followed by a BBQ lunch.

Northern NSW Football’s Club and Referee Development Officer Ross Hicks was delighted to see the students enjoying the world game.

“It was wonderful to see the smiles on their faces and the sportsmanship shown was a credit to them all.”

Proudly supported by Northern NSW Football and West Wallsend Senior FC
