Glen Innes District Football Association Awarded Newcastle Permanent Club of the Month Award

August 30th, 2019

Northern NSW Football is pleased to announce Glen Innes District Football Association, from Northern Inland Football as Newcastle Permanent Club of the Month Winner for August 2019.

Glen Innes District Football Association was awarded as the winner of the Newcastle Permanent Club of the Month Award due to its significant role their committee plays in advancing and creating the best possible experience for their players and members.

“We applaud the efforts of Glen Innes District Football Association, coaches and players which demonstrate that community is integral to the club’s ethos,” NNSWF Senior Officer Community Football Ross Hicks said.

“Glen Innes District Football Association has made a significant and valuable contribution to the local community by implementing strategies to enhance and encourage the football experience across all of their players from youth to senior.

“With offering extra training sessions and activities for their members, the club has been growing especially within their girl’s competitions.”

Newcastle Permanent Armidale Branch Manager Judith Hansen echoed Hicks’ sentiments and is pleased a local Newcastle Football club has been rewarded for its efforts.

“Newcastle Permanent is committed to supporting great community initiatives and the Club of the Month Award provides us with the opportunity to recognise and reward clubs for the valuable contributions they make to their local area, both on and off the field,” Hansen said.

Glen Innes District Football Association will receive a $250 First Touch Football Supplies gift voucher thanks to Newcastle Permanent that will allow the club to purchase new equipment to continue its efforts in growing the game in the Region.

The Newcastle Permanent Club of the Month Award recognises clubs for contribution to football on and off the playing field across areas including football experience, club activities, coach, volunteer management and special projects.
