Kids Excited to Receive Newcastle Permanent Balls and Shin Pads

April 17th, 2015

Parents can expect an early wakeup call tomorrow morning as young players eagerly anticipate the kick-off of Season 2015 across the Hunter.

Entry level players are extra excited after receiving their free ball and shin pads courtesy of Northern NSW Football’s (NNSWF) Partner in Community Football, the Newcastle Permanent Building Society.

Almost 10,000 balls and 10,000 pairs of shin pads were distributed this week to NNSWF Member Zones and Clubs in the fourth year of the initiative.

About NNSWF’s Community Partnership with Newcastle Permanent:

Following previous sponsorships of NNSWF High Performance (2010-11) and Junior Football (2012-14), Newcastle Permanent has committed to the investment of over $700,000 into grassroots football as Partner in NNSWF Community Football.

Newcastle Permanent’s investment in football is one of the organisations largest and the investment in the partnership reflects the financial institution’s commitment to the local community.

The Community Partnership with Newcastle Permanent includes recognition programs such as Newcastle Permanent Volunteer of the Month, Newcastle Permanent Community Coach of the Month, Newcastle Permanent Community Club of the Year, as well as training tools for community coaches and volunteers, as well as the distribution of nearly 10,000 free balls and shin pads to young players.
