Northern NSW Football is pleased to announce Kootingal and District SC as the April Newcastle Permanent Playmaker Award Winner.
Kootingal and District SC was awarded as winner of the Newcastle Permanent Playmaker Award due to its important contribution to the local community through development programs implemented in local schools leading to increased participation, specifically in female football. In addition, Kootingal and District SC has created a respectful social atmosphere amongst its members and the broader community.
“Kootingal and District SC has made a significant and valuable contribution to the local community through its successful implementation of its school development program,” NNSWF Community Football Manager Peter Haynes commented.
“We applaud the efforts of Kootingal and District SC Committee, coaches and players which demonstrate that community is integral to the club’s ethos,” Haynes concluded.
Newcastle Permanent Mobile Lending Manager Tamworth, Robyn Donnelly, echoed Haynes’ sentiments and is pleased a local Northern Inland club has been rewarded for its efforts.
“Newcastle Permanent is proud to support community football across Northern NSW and it is great to see clubs working hard to make football such an inclusive sport, while teaching players about discipline and respect, both on and off the field,” Donnelly said.
Kootingal and District SC will receive a $250 First Touch Football Supplies gift voucher thanks to Newcastle Permanent, that will allow the club to purchase new equipment to continue its efforts in growing the game in the Region.
The Newcastle Permanent Playmaker Award demonstrates Newcastle Permanent’s commitment to supporting community football across Northern NSW by recognising clubs for their contribution to football on and off the playing field in areas including football experience, club activities, coaching, volunteer management and special projects.
