Northern NSW Football would like to congratulate Lake Macquarie City Football Club (FC) on becoming the 2016 NEWFM 1st Division Premiers in all four grades.
Lake Macquarie City FC have risen to the challenge in the NEWFM 1st Division competition and have shown that they are a strong club across all grades within the competition.
In the past two seasons, the club has only lost 6 matches from 40 in the 1st Grade Division.
This is also reflected in the club’s younger grades with the 23 Years only losing 6 and the 19 and 17 Years only going down 4 each in two years.
Having the highest goal difference in any Northern NSW Football premier competition, Lake Macquarie City has scored up to 80 goals this season in their 1st Grade division, with their lower grades also having scored over 50 goals in their 2016 campaigns.
Whilst 1st Grade was knocked out of the semi-finals last year by Wallsend FC, each of the lower grades made it to the grand finals. The 23 Years went down to Thornton, but both the 19 and 17 Years claimed the Grand Final Championship.
This year the club will have their eyes on the Grand Final trophy once again for all four grades as they all aim to secure the ‘double’ and become the overall 2016 NEWFM 1st Division Grand Final Champions.
