Match Day Visits Welcomed In Clubland

June 27th, 2017

Northern NSW Football’s ALDI MiniRoos Development Officer, Tom Oldaker, was out in clubland on the weekend rewarding Edgeworth Junior Soccer Club with a match day visit in recognition of the clubs efforts in encouraging player participation for both young males and females.

‘Edgeworth Junior Soccer Club have been working really hard to increase player registrations at the club and they have seen a 15% growth in players since 2015,’ Oldaker said.

‘This has also included efforts to bolster female participation as well and they have recently increased their all girls teams from 1 to 3, which is a great effort and one of the reasons we visited Edgeworth to add to the spectacle of their match day,’ Oldaker said.

To ensure a fun day was had by all at Edgeworth, children had the opportunity to take turns on the ALDI inflatable shooting target in an attempt to win prizes and were also provided with free fruit courtesy of ALDI.

Northern NSW Football’s Partner in Community Football, Newcastle Permanent, also added to the excitement on the day by providing inflatable footballs and water bottles for children participating in the activities.

NNSWF would like to say a massive thank you to Kevin Lonsdale and Edgeworth Junior Soccer Club for a fantastic day on Saturday and also take the opportunity to congratulate Kevin and Edgeworth JSC on their continued efforts to grow the game in their area.

If your club has something to celebrate or you just want to have some extra fun on your match day, please contact Tom by sending an email to miniroos@northernnswfootball.com.au
