Mayfield United JSFC Awarded Newcastle Permanent Playmaker Award

July 29th, 2016

Northern NSW Football is pleased to announce Mayfield United Junior Soccer Football Club (JSFC) as the June Newcastle Permanent Playmaker Award Winner.

Mayfield United JSFC was awarded the Newcastle Permanent Playmaker Award due to its significant contribution to the local community through hosting a big end of season presentation where it creates parents and sponsors to be involved in the love of our game. With holding half a dozen of amusement rides and fun football games, catering for children ages 4 through to adults promoting football.

“Mayfield United JSFC has made a significant and valuable contribution to the local community through its successful ongoing involvement in their end of season presentations to their football family,” NNSWF Community Football Manager Peter Haynes commented.

“We applaud the efforts of Mayfield United JSFC Committee, coaches and players which demonstrate that community is integral to the club’s ethos,” Haynes concluded.

Newcastle Permanent Chief Executive Officer, Terry Millett, echoed Haynes’ sentiments and is pleased a local Newcastle club has been rewarded for its efforts.

“It is great to see clubs going the extra mile to give back to their local community and we are delighted we are able to provide those opportunities through our support of Community Football across Northern NSW,” Millett said.

Mayfield United JSFC will receive a $250 First Touch Football Supplies gift voucher thanks to Newcastle Permanent that will allow the club to purchase new equipment to continue its efforts in growing the game in the Region.

The Newcastle Permanent Playmaker Award recognises clubs for contribution to football on and off the playing field across areas including football experience, club activities, coach, volunteer management and special projects.
