Northern NSW Football is pleased to announce Mayfield United Senior FC from Newcastle Football as the Newcastle Permanent Club of the Month for June 2021.

Mayfield United Senior FC were named winners of the Newcastle Permanent Club of the Month award due to its significant contribution to the local community.

The club has a great community and family aspect that many in the football community look up to and respect, with the way they look out for their members commendable.

The club recently overcame a health scare to one of its members, showing great support to the club member, their family and the members of the team that had to endure the scary moment.

“This is a deserved award given Mayfield United Senior FC’s significant contribution to its football community over several years,” NNSWF Head of Football Development Peter Haynes said.

“We are delighted to recognise Mayfield United Senior FC’s efforts and wish them all the best in their future endeavours.”

Newcastle Permanent Chief Customer Experience and Delivery Officer Paul Juergens echoed Hicks’ sentiments and was pleased a Newcastle Football club had been rewarded for its efforts.

“Mayfield United Senior FC’s passion, commitment and dedication really highlight what it means to be a grassroots, community club on and off the field,” Juergens said.

“We congratulate Mayfield United Senior FC on their contribution to community football and wish them all the best for the remainder of the season.”

Mayfield United Senior FC will receive a $250 First Touch Football Supplies gift voucher thanks to Newcastle Permanent that will allow the club to purchase new equipment to continue its efforts in growing the game in the region.
