Moore Creek FC awarded Newcastle Permanent Club of the Month Award

July 31st, 2020

Northern NSW Football is pleased to announce Moore Creek FC, from Northern Inland Football, as Newcastle Permanent Club of the Month Winner for August 2020.

Moore Creek FC was named as the winner of the Newcastle Permanent Club of the Month Award due to its significant contribution to the local community.

Moore Creek FC are one of Northern Inland Football’s newest clubs, having been formed last year.

In their second season as a football club, Moore Creek FC have enjoyed strong growth and a strong drive for youth development. Their culture sees coaches from under-6s to seniors get in and lend a hand to make sure everyone leaves happy.

Moore Creek FC, who had 145 players for their first season in 2019, are regarded as a friendly, welcoming club with players from many cultures playing in the same teams.

“Moore Creek FC has made a significant and valuable contribution to the local community,” NNSWF Senior Officer Community Football Ross Hicks said.

“We applaud the efforts of Moore Creek FC’s committee, coaches and players which demonstrate that community is integral to the club’s ethos.”

Newcastle Permanent Tamworth branch manager Julie Callander echoed Hicks’ sentiments and was pleased a local Northern Inland Football club had been rewarded for its efforts.

“Newcastle Permanent’s Community Football Awards recognise the important role clubs play in our local communities and it is great to see clubs embracing a culture of inclusiveness, discipline and respect, both on and off the field,” Callander said.

Moore Creek FC will receive a $250 First Touch Football Supplies gift voucher thanks to Newcastle Permanent that will allow the club to purchase new equipment to continue its efforts in growing the game in the region.

The Newcastle Permanent Club of the Month Award recognises clubs for their contribution to football on and off the playing field across areas including football experience, club activities, coach, volunteer management and special projects.
