It was a great night for Herald Women’s Premier League new-comers New Lambton FC who took out multiple awards at last Friday night’s The Jennings Medal at Wests New Lambton including the Player of the Year award recipient, Tara Andrews.
About to begin her Westfield W-League campaign Newcastle Jets, Andrews took out the award after scoring 17 goals in the 16 games she played and proving to be extremely hard to stop, while her coach Keelan Hamilton received the Herald WPL Coach of the Year award and her club, New Lambton FC won the Club of the Year.
Merewether United goalkeeper Alison Logue was awarded the Goalkeeper of the Year while Jenna Kinglsey from Warners Bay FC was honoured for winning the Golden Boot Award having scored 26 goals across the regular season.
