NNSWF Launches Newcastle Permanent Skill of the Week

Northern NSW Football is pleased to launch the 2015 Newcastle Permanent Skill of the Week series.

Proudly supported by Northern NSW Football’s Partner in Community Football, Newcastle Permanent, the series aims to provide Community Football Coaches access to weekly skill coaching sessions.

To assist coaches train their players in the four functional game skills of striking the ball, running with the ball, first touch and 1 v 1, the Newcastle Permanent Skill of the Week videos will be broken down into the following areas:

1. Skill Technique
2. Skill Demonstration
3. Beginning Part
4. Middle Part
5. End Game

Northern NSW Football Community Football Manager Peter Haynes is pleased to provide registered community coaches with the opportunity to assist them in the delivery of structured training session from week to week.

“Grassroots Football is reliant largely upon volunteer coaches who generally have limited time to dedicate towards preparing training sessions for their players,” said Haynes.

“The Newcastle Permanent Skill of the Week aims to provide these coaches with some ideas that makes training not only easier but more enjoyable for players and coaches alike,” Haynes concluded.

The videos will be provided weekly to registered coaches via direct email with a new Newcastle Permanent Skill of the Week will become available on a weekly basis.

Videos will also be placed on the Northern NSW Football website throughout the season.

To access to Newcastle Permanent Skill of the Week videos one week prior to accessing online, register with your local club as a coach.
