Northern Duo Participate in U-16 Training Camp

May 22nd, 2015

Emerging Jets pair Zac Bailey and Noah James have just attended the fourth National Under-16 training camp at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) as preparation for International tournaments later this year.

The camp was James’ first National Under-16 camp, while Bailey has attended his third camp, after also attending two camps in April, one alongside fellow Northern NSW players James Bayliss, Will Menz and Angus Thurgate. Jez Murray and Lachlan Watson were selected to participate in the first camp held in February.

In July the selected Joeys squad will head to the AFF Under-16 Youth Championships in Indonesia, before the AFC Under-16 Championship qualifiers are held in September.

If the side progresses to 2016’s AFC Under-16 tournament, a top four placing will allow entry to the 2017 Under-17 World Cup.

Northern NSW Football would like to congratulate each of the players who have attended Under-16 training camps in 2015.
