Five young Northern NSW players have been selected to join the Young Matildas Camp to be held at the Australian Institute of Sport, Canberra from 29th July to 2nd August.
Kobie Ferguson (Whitebridge), Brooke Miller (Dudley), Sophie Nenadovic (Hillsborough), Hannah Southwell (Cameron Park) and Clare Wheeler (North Lambton) have all been selected and are in contention for consideration for AFC U19 World Cup Qualifications as a result.
Kobie, Brooke and Hannah were all selected to attend the camp on Tuesday 21st July prior to the recent 2015 FFA Girls NTC Challenge that took place in Canberra from 22nd July to 27th July 2015. They were selected based on previous performances in camps and competition fixtures.
Sophie and Clare were selected after outstanding performances during the NTC Challenge in Canberra.
There will be one more camp prior to the selection of the final squad that will travel to China for the AFC U19 World Cup Qualifications in August.
