Northern Inland Coaches Participate in Grassroots Coaching Courses

May 28th, 2015

Northern NSW Football Miniroos Development Officer Mat Fox embarked on a roadtrip across Northern Inland Football over the weekend to take Grassroots Coaching to local clubs.

Fox visited Uralla, Armidale, Glen Innes and Tenterfield between Friday 22nd and Sunday 24th May after also conducting Grassroots Coaching Certificates in Tamworth and Quirindi earlier this month.

In total, 60 coaches participated in the Grassroots Coaching Certificates which are practical courses which encourage coaches of players aged 5-9 to develop practices based on fun.

The emphasis of the Grassroots Coaching Certificate is on natural development through fun football exercises that are key to helping players build a love for the game.
Coaches are exposed to basic rules of the game as well as tips and hints on building a football culture in a completely practical setting.
