Northern NSW Football launch Newcastle Permanent Volunteer Training Series

Northern NSW Football is proud to announce the launch of the Newcastle Permanent Volunteer Training series.

The online series follows on from the success of the Newcastle Permanent Coaching and Volunteer Masterclass Series’ last year.

NNSWF and Newcastle Permanent, our major partner of community football, took the opportunity to move training online to assist clubs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Five instalments have been confirmed, starting on 15 February.

NNSWF Head of Football Development Peter Haynes said the Newcastle Permanent Volunteer Training Series highlighted Northern NSW Football’s commitment to helping clubs.

“The Coaching and Volunteer Masterclass Series’ that we held last year were really well received which encouraged us to launch the Coaching Masterclass Series and Volunteer Training Series this year,” Haynes said.

“These five webinars will be really valuable for clubs and help them upskill their volunteers ahead of the 2021 season which we anticipate to be our biggest yet.

“There are some really worthwhile components that I think clubs will get a lot out of and help them have a successful 2021.”

The series will open with a Volunteer Recruitment and Retention Webinar on 15 February.

A Club Information Session will follow on 15 March which will cover governance, coach protection, working with children checks, Member Protection Information Officers, National Club Development Program and Child Safety.

A PlayFootball management workshop and duty officer training make up sessions three and four, with a child safe induction for coaches to wrap up the series.
