Northern NSW Football and its Member Zones throughout Northern NSW have united and committed to #FootballForFires Round on the weekend of 23/24 May 2020.
Clubs throughout Northern NSW will be encouraged to implement local activities which raise money for the restoration and improvement of local football clubs and facilities in fire-affected areas nationwide.
Football supporters around the world will also be able to donate to the relief, recovery and rebuild efforts in our communities through the Australian Red Cross, and local donations can be made to the NSW Rural Fire Service and NSW SES Volunteers Association.
Additionally, Northern NSW Football and Newcastle Jets have partnered with Sid Fogg’s Coaches to provide heavily subsidised transport to members of the local football community attending the Football for Fires blockbuster bushfire relief match at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium on Saturday 23 May 2020. This match will raise funds and honour thousands of brave volunteer firefighters and State Emergency Service personnel.
