Northern NSW Football is pleased to announce Port Saints FC as the June Newcastle Permanent Playmaker Award Winner.
Port Saints FC was awarded as winner of the Newcastle Permanent Playmaker Award due to its contribution to the local community through encouragement of female participation, and championing of a Girls Only Under 6s competition.
“Port Saints FC has made a significant and valuable contribution to the local community through its initiation of a Girls Only competition and pairing with a fellow Football Mid North Coast club to increase team numbers within that competition” NNSWF Community Football Manager Peter Haynes commented.
“We applaud the efforts of Port Saints FC’s Committee, coaches and players which demonstrate that participation is integral to the club’s ethos,” Haynes concluded.
Newcastle Permanent Port Macquarie Branch Manager, Jose Ustariz, echoed Haynes’ sentiments and is pleased a local Mid North Coast club has been rewarded for its efforts.
“Newcastle Permanent is committed to supporting great community initiatives and the Playmaker Award gives us the opportunity to reward clubs for the excellent work they do in their local area, both on and off the field,” Ustariz said.
Port Saints FC will receive a $250 First Touch Football Supplies gift voucher thanks to Newcastle Permanent, that will allow the club to purchase new equipment to continue its efforts in growing the game in the Region.
The Newcastle Permanent Playmaker Award demonstrates Newcastle Permanent’s commitment to supporting community football across Northern NSW by recognising clubs for their contribution to football on and off the playing field in areas including football experience, club activities, coaching, volunteer management and special projects.
