Tinonee SC Rewarded with an ALDI MiniRoos Match Day Visit

July 18th, 2017

Northern NSW Football’s (NNSWF) ALDI MiniRoos Development Officer Tom Oldaker was visiting regional Northern NSW with a match day visit to Tinonee Soccer Club (SC) on the weekend.

Tinonee SC took the opportunity to have some match day fun by requesting a visit and Oldaker duly obliged by taking with him the ALDI inflatable shooting target and giveaways courtesy of NNSWF’s Major Partner in Community Football, Newcastle Permanent.

Tinonee SC is a relatively small club with around 60 registered ALDI MiniRoos players and around 150 players all up.

“Tinonee Soccer Club are a great community club. They do a lot of work to provide the best possible opportunities for not only their players but coaches, game leaders, parents and volunteers,” Oldaker said.

Other work Tinonee SC has done to provide the best possible experience and opportunities for their local community and club is when they recently improved their facilities to provide more shelter and seating for their spectators.

Tinonee SC has also held a number of courses including an ALDI MiniRoos Certificate course and Game Leader Course for their club members and they plan to run an ALDI MiniRoos Kick Off program for 4-9-year old’s during the off season to ensure children have the opportunity to continue to play football all season round.

All of Tinonee’s hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed. The club was awarded the Newcastle Permanent Club of the Month award for April in recognition of all of their outstanding work to develop the club.

NNSWF would like to thank Jason Ryan and Tinonee SC for all their hard work and effort in making community football a great experience for all at Tinonee.
