University Women’s Awarded Newcastle Permanent Club of the Month Award

August 31st, 2017

Northern NSW Football is pleased to announce University Women’s, from Newcastle Football as Newcastle Permanent Club of the Month Winner for July 2017.

University Women’s was recognised as the winner of the Newcastle Permanent Club of the Month Award due to their significant contribution to their club by providing support for their players to help them have the most enjoyable experience in football.

When teams don’t have enough players on the field to play or when the score is not in their favour, club and team officials are always there on hand cheering the girl’s on ensuring that they are having a worthwhile experience.

“University Women’s has made a significant and valuable contribution to the local community through showing and providing support for their teams making them feel included and valued within the club in the club and supported throughout the game,’” NNSWF Community Football Manager Peter Haynes commented.

“There is nothing more important than to provide the most enjoyable experience for players, whether they are winning or losing a game,” Haynes concluded.

Newcastle Permanent CEO, Terry Millett echoed Haynes’ sentiments and is pleased a local Newcastle club has been rewarded for its efforts.

“Newcastle Permanent is proud to support community football across Northern NSW and it is great to see clubs working hard to make football such an inclusive sport, while teaching players about discipline and respect, both on and off the field,” Millett said.

University Womens will receive a $250 First Touch Football Supplies gift voucher thanks to Newcastle Permanent that will allow the club to purchase new equipment to continue its efforts in growing the game in the Region.

The Newcastle Permanent Club of the Month Award recognises clubs for contribution to football on and off the playing field across areas including football experience, club activities, coach, volunteer management and special projects.
