The board of Lake Macquarie City Football Club are excited to announce and present to the football community of northern NSW their new club branding and logo.
This change in branding reflects and pays respect to the club’s proud history in the region for the last 109 years and re-delivers it in a strong, modern and professional format to take them forward into the next 100 years.
The timing and delivery of the new brand for the club is to coincide with their new club vision and philosophy for their football pathway.
Under the guidance of new Director of Football Alex Butt, the club has entered into a new chapter for its football delivery where the clear direction is focused on providing the best learning environment available in northern NSW including the most thorough learning curriculum, a fully equipped and supported learning environment and the best football teachers.
The board is also excited to confirm they are doing this while maintaining the lowest registration prices in the National Premier Leagues NNSW competition.
To support this direction the club is excited to confirm the following appointments for 2021:
Josh Rufo – First Grade Head Coach
First Grade Head Coach Joshua Rufo has signed on to continue into season 2021. The club are thrilled to have Rufo continue on at the club and are thankful for the role in which he delivered a competitive squad during the 2020 season and unearthed some exciting young players from the club’s pathway while delivering a host of debuts.
Daegal Richardson – Youth Technical Director
The club is very excited to secure the services of Daegal. This appointment is a clear statement in the club’s commitment to providing the best learning environment for their players. Daegal joins Lake Macquarie City from the Football NSW NPL side Bonnyrigg. Previously Richardson was coaching with the Central Coast Mariners and Newcastle Jets academies. Daegal also has an impressive background of football learning and qualifications that will provide not just our players support but our coaching staff access to his knowledge and experience.
Rowan St-Clair – Head of Goalkeeping
To manage and lead the club’s goalkeepers Lake Macquarie have secured the services of one the best goalkeeper development coaches in Rowan St-Clair.
Rowan is an excellent fit for Lake Macquarie City as he is an impressive teacher for the specialised skill set of goalkeeping. Rowan joins us with FFA Advanced GK Accreditation and with the same philosophy of wanting to establish the best learning environment for goalkeepers possible.
The club will make announcements on a number of new player signings for their senior team for 2021 as well as additional football staff and coaching appointments via their social media platforms at the completion of the 2020 NPL NNSW first grade competition.
