Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) conducted the official draw for the Westfield FFA Cup Qualification Weekend, this morning at Westfield Kotara in the Westfield Centre Management Board Room. The official draw was conducted by Westfield Kotara Facility Manager Michael Rapley and NNSWF Chief Executive Officer David Eland.
Northern Pool representatives include Coffs City United FC and South Armidale FC, while PS4 National Premier Leagues (NPL) sides include Adamstown Rosebud FC, Broadmeadow Magic FC and Edgeworth FC. NEWFM 1st Division teams include Valentine FC and West Wallsend SFC, and Newcastle’s Zone League 1 club side, Jesmond FC also secured their places in the Westfield FFA Cup Qualification Weekend.
The Westfield FFA Cup provides Northern NSW PS4 NPL and Club teams the opportunity to progress to the Round of 32 and the chance to play off against Preliminary Round club-based winners from fellow states, as well as Hyundai A-League Clubs.
The Qualification Weekend format sees two Southern teams drawn against the two Northern teams and the remaining four Southern teams drawn against each other in the ‘Final Eight’ fixtures.
The winners of the ‘Final Eight’ matches will progress to the ‘Final Four’ fixtures. All ‘Final Four’ fixtures will be drawn from the hat and the two winners will automatically qualify to represent NNSWF in the Westfield FFA Cup Round of 32.
