Wingham Soccer Club’s Andreus Bellenger, 6, had only one thing on his mind when he registered to play for Season 2015, and that was pulling on his boots and playing football.
He had no idea that by registering he automatically went into the draw for the chance to win a framed Socceroos jersey, marking the sides historic win in the 2015 AFC Asian Cup.
Andreus was one of four (4) players from thousands across Northern NSW to be randomly selected to win one of the prestigious pieces of football memorabilia.
Andreus was yesterday presented with his jersey at a special school assembly at Wingham Public School by representatives Football Mid North Coast General Manager Peter Daniels and Newcastle Permanent Branch Lending Manager Craig Fuller.
