The impact of COVID-19 resulted in the suspension of all football activities since early March.
Since this time, the priority of Northern NSW Football has been to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the community and to undertake it’s social responsibility to do everything we can to slow the spread of COVID-19 in line with National and State Health Orders.
Given football is played outdoors, the risk of infection whilst playing is minimal, and now with the rate of of infection greatly reduced, it is time to cautiously reintroduce football activity in a staged approach, commencing with the Return to Training – Level 1 Guidelines which are in affect as of 11.59pm AEST Tuesday 26 May 2020.
The Return to Training – Level 1 Guidelines offer sound, best practice advice on how to keep your players, volunteers and match officials safe during the transition back to football including parameters surrounding the types of activities which can occur, facility usage and how to conduct training safely.
To assist club officials and coaches, we hosted live webinars to run through the guidelines and answer any questions club volunteers may have. There was an overwhelming response to attend these. For those who were unable to attend, a recording is available below.

Northern NSW Football is hosting a Q&A Session with our Football Operations Manager Liam Bentley and Head of Football Development Peter Haynes to Q&A Session for Club Volunteers.
They will cover off some of the most frequently asked questions received to date and will provide clubs and committees an opportunity to ask questions about any challenges they have experienced surrounding the Return to Training phase. Registration is essential.
