Northern NSW Football have conducted the draw for the 2025 NNSW Women’s League Cup.
The NNSW Women’s League Cup offers more football for NPL Women’s NNSW clubs and another chance to win a trophy.
The seven NPL Women’s NNSW clubs and eight Premier Youth Girls clubs were drawn against each other in the quarter-finals to be played on the weekend of 28-30 March, with the semi-finals to follow being played 24 April. The final will be played on the weekend of the 9-12 May.
All teams at each club including under-13s, 15s, 17s, reserve grade and first grade teams will feature in their own competition.
In the draw conducted on Tuesday, in the quarter-finals, Newcastle Olympic will host Broadmeadow Magic at Darling Street Oval and Adamstown Rosebud JFC will welcome New Lambton FC to Adamstown Oval on Saturday 29 March.
On Sunday 30 March Lake Macquarie City FC will travel to Lisle Carr Oval to face Charlestown Azzurri and Maitland FC will take on Mid Coast FC in the PYLG under-13s, 15s and 17s. But as Mid Coast FC are not in the NPLW NNSW competition, Maitland FC reserve grade and first grade will serve the bye.
In the semi-finals the winner of Newcastle Olympic and Broadmeadow Magic will host the winner of Charlestown Azzurri and Lake Macquarie City FC. The winner of Adamstown Rosebud JFC and New Lambton FC will face the winner of Maitland FC and Mid Coast in the PYL and Maitland FC in first and reserve grade.
NNSWF General Manager Football Operations Liam Bentley said the additional cup competition was a great opportunity for NPL Women’s NNSW teams to play more football throughout the season.
“The Women’s League Cup provides more opportunities for NPL NNSW Women’s and Premier Youth League Girls’ teams to play more competitive football,” Bentley said.
“NNSWF wants to provide more competitive football for our premier players and give them a chance to celebrate winning more competitions and tournaments with their teammates and for their clubs.
“I encourage the local football community to get out and show their support throughout the Women’s League Cup competition.”
