Para Football
Para Football is a modified version of the game and is specific to athletes with Cerebral Palsy, Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and symptoms resulting from stroke. This football format is coordinated under the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) rules with slight modifications.
Para Football Program
The Para Football Program caters to athletes living with cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury and/or symptoms of stroke. The program will include fortnightly training sessions at Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility.
A key focus of this program is developing a pathway with Football Australia that aligns with the national teams, the ParaMatildas and ParaRoos.

Program Details
- Start Date: Monday 20 April 2026

- Cost: $50 (includes a T-shirt for new players)
Term 3
- Start date: 3 July (first session is a come and try)

- Start date: 5 October

NNSWF Para Football Programs and Events
Para Football - CP Talent ID Come and Try Days
NNSWF hosted two Para Football - CP Talent ID come and try days at Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility in April and May 2025 as well as one in Coffs Harbour in June. The days were an incredible opportunity for athletes with Cerebral Palsy, Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and symptoms resulting from stroke to be identified for the NNSWF team competing at the National Para Football Championships.

IFCPF Men's and Women' World Cup 2026
the IFCPF Men's and Women's World Cup will take place this year in the United States of America, with the Men's Competition running from the 11-23 October, and the Women's Competition running from the 14-25 October.
National Para Football Championships
This annual tournament is a Football Australia (FA) event which sees players representing their state to battle it out for the title. Each year this National tournament is hosted by a different Member Federation across Australia and sees elite CP Football action.
