Northern NSW Football is thrilled to announce its squads for the 2026 NAIDOC Cup.
The NAIDOC Cup provides a unique opportunity for First Nations footballers to showcase their skills, connect with fellow players and celebrate Country, culture and language.
A total of 65 First Nations players aged between 12 and 16, along with 20 First Nations coaches and managers, will represent Northern NSW Football at this year’s tournament.
The NAIDOC Cup brings the football community together, with under-14s and under-16s boys and girls teams to face Football NSW at Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility in Speers Point, on Awabakal land, from Tuesday 29 September to Thursday 1 October.
NNSWF will look to go back-to-back after winning its first NAIDOC Cup title in 2025. An undefeated campaign from the under-14s and under-16s boys, combined with strong performances from the under-14s and under-16s girls, saw NNSWF secure the overall title on aggregate.
NNSWF Participation Officer – Schools and First Nations Football Michael Hugo said he looked forward to the tournament.
“We’re delighted to have the opportunity to celebrate Indigenous culture for the fifth consecutive year and showcase the incredible talent of First Nations players from across NSW,” Hugo said.
“The NAIDOC Cup provides a fantastic opportunity for young players to develop their skills, learn from experienced coaches and build connections with fellow First Nations athletes.”
