2026 Newcastle Permanent Community State Youth Championships to kick off

The 2026 Newcastle Permanent Community State Youth Championships will take place at Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility from Monday 6 to Friday 10 July.

The five-day tournament will feature the best community footballers from across northern NSW representing their respective member zones as they go head-to-head for the title of champions.

Six of Northern NSW Football’s seven zones will take part in the event including Newcastle Football, Macquarie Football, Hunter Valley Football, NNSWF – Northern Inland, Football Mid North Coast and North Coast Football.

NNSWF Indigenous teams will also compete for the second consecutive year, consisting of First Nations players and coaches from across northern NSW.

First Nations players will have the opportunity to represent their culture in the under-12s, under-14s and under-16s boys and girls teams.

The competition structure for each division was designed after close consultation with member zones to best suit the varying number of teams across each age group.

The tournament features boys and girls competitions from under-12s to under-16s and is open to all community footballers.

Newcastle Football will aim to retain the under-12s, 13s and 14s boys and girls age group titles, while Hunter Valley Football will be eager to secure the under-15/16 boys championship.

North Coast Football will look to defend their under-15 girls and under-16 girls titles.

The return of NNSWF - Northern Inland and Football Mid North Coast to the competition further strengthens what will be a strong week of football.

NNSWF General Manager Football Operations Liam Bentley said he looked forward to the fifth edition of the competition.

“The tournament is a fantastic opportunity for community footballers to showcase their talent and enjoy a competitive week of football against the best in their age groups,” Bentley said.

“We’re looking forward to seeing players take the field at the Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility, represent their member zones with pride and make the most of the experience.”
