Alstonville FC named Club Changer of the Month for November

Northern NSW Football is pleased to announce Alstonville FC as its Club Changer of the Month for November.

Club Changer is Football Australia’s Club Development program, which aims to enhance clubs for long-term viability and success.

This month’s Club Changer focus was workforce with an emphasis on volunteers. Alstonville understands that the success of their club is built on the dedication and passion of their volunteers.

In 2025, Alstonville had 176 registered volunteers, from coaches to canteen helpers, all of whom help ensure the club provides a welcoming and well-organised football environment.

Despite the challenges the club faced in 2025 with ongoing wet weather causing significant disruptions, Alstonville volunteers remained dedicated to helping their club.

Alstonville’s leadership team provided strong communication, encouragement and support to ensure their volunteer workforce felt valued and connected.

The club is focused on developing their volunteers and has done so by providing further support, communication and recognition. The club continues to actively promote opportunities for new volunteers to become involved and provide development opportunities including coach education and mentoring initiatives.

Alstonville FC Club Changer representative Stewart Hume was delighted for the club to be recognised as Club Changer of the month.

“Alstonville Football Club takes great pride in fostering a strong, valued and motivated volunteer team, it’s the heartbeat of our club,” Hume said.

“Volunteer recognition is central to our culture and each year we acknowledge the contributions of our coaches, managers and committee members at our club presentations.

“We are committed to upholding the Club Changer values in all that we do and are committed to improving and working towards our three-star Club Changer accreditation in early 2026.”
