Applications for eighth round of NNSWF Facilities Fund now open

Applications for the eighth round of the Northern NSW Football Facilities Fund are now open.

Northern NSW Football's Facilities Fund was established in 2019 and aligns with the NSW Football Infrastructure Strategy.

The fund has seen NNSWF invest $1,607,532 in 30 community football infrastructure projects since its inception, with partnering funding of $3,713,575 taking the total project value to $5,321,107.

NNSWF General Manager Member Services Ross Hicks said funding was generated through a portion of player registration fees, ensuring money invested in football is reinvested into supporting clubs across the region.

“The NNSWF Facilities Fund gives clubs another opportunity to secure substantial funding for infrastructure projects that can boost participation, strengthen player retention, attract more female participants, enhance safety and security and create better football experiences,” Hicks said.

“Football remains the largest participation sport in northern NSW, with more than 70,000 registered participants.

“Since its introduction, the fund has supported approximately $5.32 million in facility upgrades across northern NSW.

“We've already seen the lasting benefits these projects have delivered for clubs and their communities and we encourage clubs to take advantage of this opportunity.”

Applications open on Monday 20 July 2026 and close on Monday 17 August 2026.

NNSWF is committed to improving places to play, a focus set out in its 2024-26 Strategic Plan. NNSWF's goal is to increase the number of football facilities that are fit for purpose, welcoming and support the growth of the game.
