Injuries and sickness were an unfortunate common theme throughout the season. We were lucky to have the squad depth and the mental strength to push through and make it to the Grand Final.”
“The key to the game will come down to mental strength and desire to win. Fighting for every ball and winning challenges. We intensified our training over the last couple of weeks, and the team is absolutely prepared tactically and mentally.”
Touching on the Major Semi-Final loss, Felipe said “We were not ourselves in that semi-final loss. The drive and desire to win just wasn’t good enough. We regrouped after that loss, talked extensively about the mental side of the game and made a few adjustments to our formation and tactics.”
East Armidale finished the season strong, proving their capability by beating DK Daggers in their last encounter. With 70 goals scored and 7 conceded, they possess a potent attack and a disciplined defence. East Armidale will aim to leverage their recent success and bring their best game to the Grand Final.

Speaking on their 1-0 Major Semi-Final win, Boyle said “it was a very tough match. Demon Knights came in very hard and played some good football. We scored a lucky goal to get up 1-0 over them and a good win for the club. The Grand Final is going to be another very tough match for the boys but I know what my team is capable of.”
“We have a great side and some of the boys are just unreal. Our right back, Mevan is fantastic and our goal stopper for the season and up top we have Aymen and Hozan, who are just unreal.

North Redmen vs Demon Knight Saints – Under 13/14’s (11:00AM)
The Grand Final is here, featuring a highly anticipated clash between the North Redmen and the Demon Knight Saints. With North Redmen finishing in 1st place and boasting an impressive record, they will look to secure the championship against a determined Demon Knight Saints side, who have proven they can compete against the best.
North Redmen come into the final with a stellar season, scoring 101 goals while conceding only 3. Their dominant performance has made them the team to beat, showcasing an aggressive attacking style combined with a rock-solid defence. After defeating Demon Knight Saints 1-0 in their earlier encounter and a commanding 6-0 win in the Major Semi-Final, North Redmen will be confident and eager to claim the trophy.
Looking back on a strong season, Norths Redmen Coach Ash Clee credits the success to “being the teams 3rd year in the Under 14’s (competition) and it has been good to see the teamwork finally pay off on the field.”
The Major Semi-Final saw a convincing 6-0 win for North Redmen, but Clee takes that result with a grain of salt: “DK Saints have been the toughest opposition all year. Our last game was probably not a true indication of the closeness of the two teams, but we will be looking at starting in a positive attacking style of play.”
Looking towards the big dance, North Redmen will look “to continue to focus on holding the midfield and building plays from there and not having to rely on our speed at the top.”
Demon Knight Saints finished the season strong in 2nd place with 59 goals scored and 12 conceded. While they have gone down to the North Redmen in the last two encounters, their resilience and ability to adapt will be essential in this high-stakes match as these two teams continue to push one another to become better and better.
Demon Knights Saints Coach, John Kenny spoke favourably on the season: “Demon Knight Saints have had a great year with a few players in the group having played with each other for the last few seasons but all players have worked hard all season to form a great team.”
