Cardiff Motor Group joins NNSWF as principal partner, gains NPLW NNSW naming rights

Northern NSW Football has welcomed Cardiff Motor Group as a principal partner in a landmark agreement that includes naming rights to the NPL Women’s Northern NSW competition.

The multi-faceted partnership marks another major investment in football across the region and strengthens Northern NSW Football’s ability to support clubs, players, coaches, volunteers and communities across the state.

The competition will now be known as the Cardiff Motor Group NPL Women’s Northern NSW.

Northern NSW Football CEO Peter Haynes said the partnership reflected a shared commitment to supporting football in the region and creating stronger opportunities for players and clubs.

“Cardiff Motor Group’s investment in football will create tangible outcomes across our region,” Haynes said.

“This partnership allows us to increase our capacity to deliver for the football community while continuing to raise the profile and standard of the women’s game.

“We have seen incredible growth across the game in recent years. Partnerships like this help us build stronger pathways, support our clubs and provide more opportunities for players, coaches and volunteers.

“We are proud to welcome Cardiff Motor Group as a principal partner and look forward to building a strong relationship together.”

The agreement between Northern NSW Football and Cardiff Motor Group will deliver a range of direct benefits for clubs competing in the Cardiff Motor Group NPL Women’s NNSW, while strengthening support available throughout the football community.

Each club will receive a fully funded place on an upcoming C-Diploma coaching course, helping develop the next generation of female coaches and strengthening coaching pathways within the women’s game.

Clubs will also have access to a dedicated grants program, with a funding pool of up to $10,000 available to support capacity building initiatives, equipment purchases and education opportunities that enhance the experience of players, members and supporters.

The partnership will significantly increase the visibility of our flagship women’s football competition across the region through enhanced marketing, advertising and social media promotion of all Cardiff Motor Group NPL Women’s NNSW matches.

For the first time, every Cardiff Motor Group NPL Women’s NNSW first grade match will feature commentary coverage, while additional promotional support will be provided for the match of the round and finals series.

In addition, the partnership will provide unique professional development opportunities, including a reserved place for a Cardiff Motor Group NPL Women’s NNSW representative on a NNSWF stakeholder delegation to Japan in conjunction with Nihon University and Estillo Travel.

The partnership will also deliver increased brand visibility for Cardiff Motor Group throughout the competition and as a court sponsor of Football FIVE5, further strengthening its connection with football participants across the state.

Beyond competition initiatives, the partnership will enhance NNSWF’s ability to provide on-the-ground support for clubs, volunteers, coaches, referees, club committees and member zones throughout the region.

Cardiff Motor Group will also offer exclusive vehicle purchase discounts to all NNSWF participants, including a $500 accessories pack and 10 per cent off servicing. Evidence of membership must be produced prior to purchase.

Cardiff Motor Group General Manager Stuart Kelly and Marketing Manager Meghan Piggott said they were delighted to launch the partnership.

“We are delighted to partner with Northern NSW Football and become the naming rights partner of the Cardiff Motor Group NPL Women’s Northern NSW competition,” Kelly said.

“At Cardiff Motor Group, we believe in supporting organisations that make a positive difference in our community, and Northern NSW Football’s commitment to growing the game and creating opportunities for women and girls strongly aligns with our values.”

“This partnership is about more than naming rights. It’s about investing in the future of football across the region, supporting clubs and volunteers, and helping create pathways for players and coaches to achieve their goals,” Piggott said.

“We are excited to work alongside Northern NSW Football and look forward to contributing to the continued growth and success of the women’s game throughout northern NSW.”

The partnership reinforces NNSWF’s ongoing commitment to women and girls’ football and represents another important step in the continued growth of the game across northern NSW.
