Clarence teams’ eye off premierships

WITH this season’s finals series fast approaching, the race to secure premierships is nearing the end for the top teams in the Clarence competitions.

And it’s tight at the top of the table in a number of Clarence competitions.

The Westlawn Panthers lead the Westlawn Tigers by two points in the Men’s 2nd division North competition, with the two sides playing off this weekend at Barnier Park in a match which could decide this year’s premiership.

The Men’s 3rd division North is also tightly contested, with both Grafton United FC and the Maclean Bobcats sitting on 23 points at the top of the ladder, with United having a game in hand.

It’s another tight premiership race in the 12’s, as Grafton United FC lead the Westlawn Tigers by two points with the Tigers having two games in hand.

The Westlawn Tigers lead the Maclean Bobcats by one point in the 16’s competition, and also have a number of games in hand on the Bobcats.

The Yamba Breakers lead Majos FC by four points in the 13’s, with Majos having four games in hand, while the 15’s competition sees Grafton United FC also leading by four points over the Yamba Breakers.

The Yamba Breakers lead the way in the Women’s 2nd division North competition, leading by sux points against the Grafton United Sirens.
