Northern NSW Football is pleased to announce Crescent Head Football Club has been named as its Club Changer of the Month for May.
Club Changer is Football Australia's Club Development Program, which aims to protect and enhance clubs to make them stronger and more resilient while planning for long-term viability and success.
Crescent Head FC President Pealy Ingles was thrilled for his club to be recognised as Club Changer of the Month.
"We are proud to receive this recognition, highlighting the dedication and impact of our volunteer network, which forms the backbone of our success and growth," Ingles said.
Crescent Head FC are supported by a committed team of 20 volunteer committee members who actively manage the operations of the club.
The club has grown to 180 players across 14 teams in 2025, an increase of three teams since 2024.
The growth reflects the dedication and coordination of the volunteers, ensuring the club remains inclusive, well-organsied and future-focused.
In 2025, Crescent Head FC have hosted a Coles MiniRoos coaching certificate, a C3 referee course and a successful Female Football Week event, demonstrating the club's commitment to developing and strengthening community engagement.
"Our volunteers coordinate and deliver weekly fundraising raffles, with each team sharing responsibility through a structured roster system," Ingles said.
"Our Saturday morning BBQs have become a staple of community spirit, encouraging social connection and raising valuable funds.
"We're preparing a season launch fundraiser, open to the wider community, and we will continue to build long-term partnerships and infrastructure through initiatives like the successful Play Our Way grant application.
"The application was for field lighting, native title approval and engagement with council to initiate a master plan for future facilities."
