Mullumbimby Football Club has demonstrated its commitment to player and coach development during a recent Northern NSW Football club visit and Coles MiniRoos Certificate course.
Northern NSW Football Regional Talent Development Officer Larry Bugden delivered the practical coaching session, which also attracted the club's president, committee members and technical director.
Bugden praised the welcoming environment and strong club culture on display throughout the evening.
"The club provided such a positive and welcoming environment," Bugden said.
“The club's commitment to football was evident across all levels, from its Coles MiniRoos players to its three senior women's teams.”
The face-to-face session focused on practical learning and encouraged coaches to use a games-based approach that puts enjoyment at the centre of player development.
The course supports coaches in helping children develop a love of football through participation and play rather than formal instruction.
Coaches who complete the practical session must also finish online learning modules through the Football Australia Learning Centre before receiving their Coles MiniRoos Certificate.
Bugden said coach education played an important role in building positive football experiences for young players and strengthening clubs across northern NSW.
The strong attendance from club leaders reflected Mullumbimby FC's commitment to supporting coaches and creating quality football experiences for players of all ages.
The visit highlighted the important role community clubs play in developing players, coaches and volunteers while creating welcoming environments where football can thrive.
